Mid-State Truck Service was founded
in Marshfield, WI on September 1st 1965 on 4th street in then Hughes
Bros. Service Inc. building. An International and GMC dealer.
Frank Vandehey, founder of Mid-State Truck was employed as truck
manager February 1960.
As business grew so did the need for
a new building, in 1972 a new home for Mid-State Truck Service was
built on East 29th Street our present day headquarters. The
Picture at the left and below are from an article in the June 1973
issue of GMC Truck News.
The 50,000 square foot facility is
located on 19 acres on Marshfield's South East side. Another
facility was purchased in Wisconsin Rapids in 1986 to serve the
Wisconsin Rapids area and the Plover facility was built in 1990 to
serve the Plover and Stevens Point area.
